This was pretty darn cute. While your inexperience with making comics does show a bit, visually all the panels look appealing and the simple character designs and settings just work for this type of story. And Gogo the doggo is adorable. Good job and good luck in the contest!

MarMarVibes responds:

Thanks! This was a huge learning experience for me

Great job with this comic! The decision to incorporate two different art styles into a single comic can be a risky one, but here it's conceptually justified and, more importantly, confidently executed. Your confidence as an artist shines through in both the full color and sketchy pages. Good luck in the contest!

A terrific little comic. You're a master of exaggerated facial expression, they alone make this worth reading. Great job and good luck in the contest!

This turned out pretty great if you ask me. The facial anatomy in particular looks really good, well done!

Eckie-Duh-Nox responds:

Thank you!

Well this looks like a wonderful place to spend an hour or twelve on a cold, gloomy day. Love the lava lamp and the Snorlax plush.

I really needed to see something like this today - you've instantly transported me into a serene, content place. Gorgeous colors and detail on the shrubs in the foreground, and beautiful rendering on the sky and sea. Simply wonderful, amazing work.

A very grim but nevertheless well executed comic in terms of art, composition and story. As someone who has played DnD off an on, I found it pretty engrossing, and I like how you incorporated some of the technical aspects of the game into the storytelling (i.e. describing the dragons through their main stats). Good luck in the contest!

King-Kiddoh responds:

Thank you so much! There's a lot more to the story I wish I could have told, but that's hopefully something I will get to do with my DnD campaign.

Love it. It's great to see the more sinister side of Ghost types, even more so since Mimikyu's design is meant to be "cute". Can't flaw this from a technical standpoint either, amazing work.

Serafin-corpse responds:

Awww thanks I appreciate it, ghost-type pokémon are my favorite, their designs have a lot of potential for twisted and spooky art.

This comic is absolutely fantastic. Your art style feels very professional and confident - looking at these pages I get the feeling that there's nothing you wouldn't be able to draw, since you excel at everything from demonic anatomy to everyday environments. The story too feels interesting even though it's essentially just a setup chapter. It works as a stand-alone short, but also as a taster for a potential series. Excellent work, and good luck in the contest!

I really enjoyed this - the protagonist is instantly likeable and it feels complete even in 16 pages. The different types of witches reminded me of Soul Eater, where each type of witch has a distinct visual identity based on an animal. Good luck in the contest!

Hello!
I love nature, science, Pokémon, gay stuff (both SFW and NSFW) and making comics - not necessarily in that order. My NG journey is about sharing all kinds of works and accepting that they're all equally valid ways of expressing myself through art.
